Canterbury Mission Trip 2008

Gulf Coast 2008

A highlight of the year is our annual mission trip to rebuild homes on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. Years after Katrina, Gulf Coast residents are still struggling to rebuild their homes, their communities, and their lives. Church relief workers estimate that private and government assistance will be needed for another 10 years.

For three consecutive Spring Breaks, we have traveled to Camp Coast Care, a project of Lutheran/Episcopal Relief Services, in Long Beach, Mississippi.  It has been a moving experience and a privilege to be able to touch the lives of others. Make plans for Spring 2009 to join us on the Coast!
